SOCCER BOARD MEETING AUGUST 2, 2007

Attendance- Ric, Jeff Q, Jeff H, & John
Ref's- 1st training session as stated in News Letter, 25 Aug 10:00 @ Park –(that's not going to work. )
10% Bonus was approved to all Rec ref's who meet their commitments or give 24 hr notice
Whistles will be purchased for ref's, Stop watches will be kept in concession stand. Ref's will be paid when the watches are returned
Jeff to determine pay scale for ref's.
Fields - Investigating which option is best; new nets or new goals?
Some goals will need to be reinforced before use. Kirk was to contact Lafayette League on how they maintain their nets.
New concession will need another used refrigerator.
Finance - $ 5,742 in checking
Marketing - News letter approved will no further changes to Rec. registration.

SOCCER BOARD MEETING AUGUST 16,2007

The RAYS board met at 7pm August 2, 2007 at the town library. Joel Wilson called the meeting to order with the following members present: Jeff Hughes, John Isenberg, and Allison Holden. Kirk is at school open house taking registrations. The minutes from the 8-2-07 meeting were read and approved. Adam has resigned from the Board.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Finance: Current balance is $5652. Will need to purchase balls for the high school. Also there will be a jersey bill. The red ones are being discontinued so Joel purchased 3 more in order to have 18 complete uniforms. Other expenses yet to be paid will be shirt printing for those jerseys and for socks.

Joel has ordered t-shirts for the high school players. They are paying cost ($8.) We can take orders at Summers End for the public for a profit ($15?)

Allison will call Jo Yoder about organizing the “score on the coach/beat the keeper” fundraiser. Suggested time would be 11-1.

FIELDS AND EQUIPMENT
Still need nets-Jeff and Randy need to talk. This season need to take them down before winter. Need to see what Kirk found out from the Lafayette league
What happened to the box of balls that was left at the park, then ended up at Town Hall? Didn’t Randy pick it up? Need it for inventory for the rec season.
Need inventory check out sheet for coaches equipment. Joel can make one.
August 19 Kirk will meet with the coordinators. Joel will be there too.
Joel made a motion, seconded by John that game balls be purchased for the rec league.

COACHES
Joel had 5 people for the clinic. One of his main goals is retraining.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30.
The next meeting will be September 6. (1st and 3rd Thursdays)
