Indoor Soccer

There has been some interest expressed in putting together an indoor soccer team this winter. What are you thoughts?

Indoor Soccer

While there are plenty of benefits for indoor soccer (touches, ball control, speed of play), there is still one big negative: injuries. I agree you can get injured in outdoor just as easily. However, my experience in indoor, is that many players come to games ill-prepared for the game either due to experience or come in the game cold, without much warmup. Also, many of the facilities in the this area are less than desirable (Arnett's especially).

Indoor soccer

Indoor soccer has both good and bad aspects. The good would be touches on the ball in a small-sided, fast paced environment. However, bad habits can easily be developed. Also, injuries are more likely and there is little or no time alotted for dynamic stretching.

Indoor

I think it's a great idea! :-)
Kids need to play, cannot sit around for 3 month. Probably won't have enough time to develop bad habits, except doing everything quicker, including passing. In few weeks they will accomodate back anyway. You get injured outdoors just as easy or easier, especially if they slide on you cleats up from behind. Also, you can much easier pull muscles on deep muddy ground.
