The U-12 season came to a close this weekend with a Saturday home game and a Sunday game at Logansport. Although the record might not indicate it, we had a very successful season. We played Noblesville early in the season and again on Saturday. In a post-game conversation with their assistant coach, he said that both he and the head coach were very surprised how much we had improved and developed in such a short time. That means a lot because we as coaches don't always notice improvement. It's similar to your child growing 3 or 4 inches; you see them everyday and are too close to realize it until someone points it out. Janice and I would like to thank the players and their families for all it takes to put together a program like this. Thanks also to all the fans and a final word of thanks to Jeff Quinton and his staff of officials; having coached and watched at many different venues, I can say without hesitation that Jeff and his people are among the best.
